working to set sound environmental policies
Conservation Council of NC works at the state level to pass strong environmental policies that protect North Carolina's natural resources, our quality of life, and the health of our communities.
We educate our decision-makers on key issues by publishing the Hotlist, a weekly e-newsletter for legislators. We are at the General Assembly every day being a strong, professional voice on behalf of the environment. We work in coalition with other environmental and allied groups to leverage our power. And we work to hold our decision-makers accountable for their environmental decisions by keeping you informed about their environmental decisions in the Scorecard. Stay up to date with our Conservation Insider Bulletin e-newsletter.
We've worked on a wide variety of issues over the years. Since 2008, our legislative priorities are set by the NC Common Agenda: Priorities for the Environment. Prior to that, we worked with our partners, members, and board to set our legislative agenda.
