For more than 40 years, Conservation Council of North Carolina has worked to turn your environmental values into North Carolina priorities.

We work to pass laws to protect the air you breathe, water you drink, and the health of the community in which you live. 

Many of the important decisions that impact the environment are made by politicians.  That is why it is critically important that we monitor and influence legislation at the North Carolina General Assembly, and work to elect people who care about the environment to office.  We’re your eyes and ears at the legislature, and we hold your elected officials accountable for the decisions they make. 

With your help, we support candidates for elected office who will pass sound environmental laws.  Our goal is to make protecting North Carolina’s environment and quality of life a priority for voters, political candidates, and elected officials. Who we elect matters!
