Conservation Council of North Carolina has advocated for over 40 years for sound environmental policies at the North Carolina General Assembly. But in order to pass strong laws that protect North Carolina's environment, citizens, and economy, it is critical to engage in the electoral process. The Conservation Political Action Committee (CPAC), a non-partisan political action committee, takes this work to the ballot box to directly hold our decision-makers accountable for their environmental decisions.
Conservation PAC plays an active role in the political process by electing legislative candidates who prioritize your right to breathe clean air, drink safe water, and live in healthy communities. The most important decisions made about the environment are made by our elected officials at the state, local, and federal level. Our goal is to elect a pro-conservation majority to the North Carolian State Legislature and other state offices.
