Our Family of Organizations

The Power of Three …

Conservation Council of North Carolina is a family of three organizations—each with their own mission, programs, and Board of Directors.  This three-tiered approach uniquely positions us to be a steady, strong, and effective force for sound environmental policy making at the State Legislature.

ccnclogoConservation Council of North Carolina (CCNC) is our advocacy organization.  CCNC employs professional environmental advocates who work in the legislature and beyond, advocating for strong environmental policies.  We publish a Legislative Scorecard telling you how your lawmakers voted on key environmental issues that you care about – and hold them accountable for the decisions they make.

Conservation Council of North Carolina Foundation is our citizen outreach and education organization.  Our number one job is to provide you with accurate information about key environmental issues so you can be an effective advocate and voter.  We play an important role in organizing citizens who care about clean air and water to effectively engage in the democratic and policy-making process.

cpac-logoThe Conservation PAC is our political action committee.  With your help, we support candidates for public office who will pass sound environmental legislation to protect North Carolina’s environment.  Candidates are interviewed by a panel of political and environmental experts on a variety of issues and are then recommended to a committee for endorsement.  Endorsed candidates receive financial support and grass roots “people power” to help them become successful in their elections.

We believe the most important thing you can do for the environment is vote!  And who we elect matters.

Learn more about the work we do and consider becoming a member.  Our work is possible through the support of voters like you who care about North Carolina.  With your support—and your vote—we can ensure a healthy quality of life for all North Carolinians.
